Kavya Swaminathan earned her Ph.D. at the University of Sydney and postdoc at Stanford focused on the proteomics of infection and immune dysregulation. Moving into early disease diagnostics, she built labs from scratch, led cross-functional teams, and developed assays to translate immune signals into clinical insight.

At Kascaid, she sets the vision and drives strategy to build tools that decode the immune system in real time. She’s known for cutting through complexity, moving fast, and rallying small, focused teams to take on big problems.

When she’s not at work, she’s chasing powder in the Sierras, paddling into waves, or stretched out in the sun with a good book.

Trained in Molecular, Cell, & Developmental Biology at UC Santa Cruz, Austin built his early career obsessing over how sample integrity shapes biomarker accuracy.

Today he channels that passion into Kascaid’s chemistry, hardware, and data, ensuring every product decision keeps the biology intact and the user experience effortless.

When he isn’t fine-tuning product strategy or nurturing new alliances, you’ll find him free-diving deep below the Pacific or catching early-morning swells along the California coast.

Scott earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University at Buffalo and completed his postdoctoral training at the Harvard/MGH Center for Systems Biology.

Throughout his career, he has led the development of groundbreaking cancer detection tests using advanced biomarkers, including extracellular vesicles.

Scott is passionate about making medicine proactive - catching disease early and tailoring care through a deep, ongoing understanding of each patient’s biology.
